The Sugarland Improvement Day was a great success. Despite questionable weather 27 volunteers came with their gloves and trash bags. Work accomplished included but was not limited to trash pick up at the Entrance Pond, Big Pond and Weather Station ponds. Many of the lilly pad seed pods were removed from Weather Station Pond. At Horseshoe pond the sprouting willows were removed at the ponds center separation and the water inlet area was cleaned. At the entrance pond trees were trimmed and/or removed to improve the appearance. At the conclusion of all the work homeowners met for lunch at the Mystery Hill Shelter house. There will be another one planned for this fall.
